Module 2 Learning Goals

The main goal of this module is to help you set-up your initial profile and preferences in Canvas. This customization will make your experience and transition to Canvas much smoother.

As part of this module you should learn:

  • What the different parts of the dashboard are
  • How to use the Canvas Calendar
  • How to use the Canvas Inbox (email)
  • How to add a profile picture
  • Setting your notification preferences
  • Adding e-mail and text notifications
  • Basic course layout and navigation
  • Adding Web services (GoogleDocs, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.)

At the end of this module you will be asked questions about these learning goals. Also remember that you can hide and expand modules Links to an external site. to make navigating in Canvas easier!
