I was hired at Cuesta College as a faculty member in the Fall of 1999 to teach courses in the Business Department. I obtained my Associates Degree at the Cuesta College, my bachelor’s degree at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, and my MBA at University of Phoenix. I have worked in an investment firm (Morgan Stanley Dean Witter) as an administrative assistant. I have taught and developed several classes over the years. I also spent 2 years as the Director of the Cuesta College Small Business Development Center, and help individuals open a business, or assist them in an existing business.

I was reassigned in 2016, and earned Full-time Tenure in 2017 as the campus Instructional Designer to assist faculty with a variety of needs. My specialties include course design, accessibility, effective contact, and coordinating external applications (such as Office Suite, Google drive, Adobe suite, Camtasia, Paint, TechSmith, and more). I am also familiar with establishing connections with publisher content / software and more advanced resources like creating HTML pages, TurnitIn, and eBooks. I am well versed several Learning Management Systems such as Blackboard, Moodle, and Canvas.

In addition to teaching accounting and Instructional Design, I own a small business that I started in 1996, in which I offer business services to local business. I offer services, such as business consulting, and bookkeeping. I also teach at Santa Barbara City College since 2008. I have also recently returned to CSU Fullerton to earn a second Masters Degree in Online Education with an emphasis in Instructional Design and Technology.

I take pride in continually learning more about instructional technologies and online education and stay current in trends and technology by attending the Online Teaching Conference annually. In 2010 I became a certified online instructor through @one. In addition in 2014 I was invited to take part in the Online Education Initiative (OEI) and is certified as Peer Online Course Reviewer (POCR). Knowing how complex designing and facilitating online courses can be, I am excited to be part of a team that can provide resources, training and support for other faculty.
