Creatng a Turnitin Assignment
Turnitin Setting up and Instructor Resources
Turnitin is a plagiarism detection and originality checking service that compares submitted writing to a large database of online and academic resources.
What it does!
Turnitin scans submitted work for matches to text in its database, which includes student work, publications, and internet materials. It then generates a Similarity Report that can help identify possible instances of plagiarism.
How is it used?
Turnitin is often integrated into classroom learning management systems, so students can automatically submit their work through Turnitin when they upload it for grading. Students can also use Turnitin to check their work before submitting it.
- Avoid accidental plagiarism
- Ensure they've cited their sources correctly
How it works!
- 47 billion current and archived internet pages
- 1.9 billion student papers
- Over 190 million articles from the top 97% of publications
