Increase your student participation during peer evaluations
In an online class, it can be challenging to get students to participate or give feedback as part of your evaluation.
There are a few things you can do in help increase participation:
1. Send your students an announcement or email, let them know you are being evaluated, and there is an evaluation link and tell them how to access it. Also let them know there will be a guest in the course.
2. Ask your Evaluator to send a similar announcement or email introducing themselves and encouraging students to participate in the evaluation and provide instructions.
3. Add a link to the embedded evaluation link to a module, using locks, such as Requirements and Prerequisite to encourage students to participate in the evaluation.
Here is a short video of these options. They are highly encouraged, and will increase student participation, but are not required.
