Extend Time / Date for Students

Students that work with the Disabled Student Program will be given a variety of accommodations, if you are have a student in your class that has a service through DSPS you will want to make sure you make the necessary accommodations

Here are guides on how you can and make necessary adjustments in Canvas to meet the accommodations:

Extend Quiz time (double, 1.5, etc)

Give extra attempts on quizzes

Extend the Due Date (beyond the due date assigned for other students)

Note: if you are using the "Available From" and "Until" options in the assignment properties, you must also extend the date for any students with accommodations to allow for the extra time on a timed exam. Otherwise they will be kicked off when the exam closes based on your availability window.  Therefore you must (1) extend the quiz time as noted above, and (2) extend the due date for the student(s) that you extended the quiz time for.
