General Anxiety Disorder

GAD is an anxiety disorder which is characterized by persistent, excessive, and unrealistic worry about everyday things.

The Anxiety and Depression Association of America reports the following regarding anxiety among the US population:

  • 40 million adults in the US are affected by anxiety
  • Approximately 7 million of those adults suffer from GAD
  • Women are twice as likely to suffer from GAD than men

Symptoms of GAD include:

  • Headaches
  • Cold Sweats
  • Irritability
  • Muscle Aches
  • Trouble Sleeping
  • Shakiness
  • Restlessness
  • Fatigue

  • Reach out to friends or family
