Getting Help

Online Learning Staff

Online Learning staff can assist you with any questions you have about how to use the different features in Canvas, the creation and building of courses in Canvas, development of new online and hybrid courses, and general questions about Online Learning.  Online Learning also has a Help Desk for students that provides support for personal computers, Canvas, student e-mail, myRichland, and mobile devices.

How can Online Learning Help?

Canvas Help Link

The quickest and best way to get assistance for Canvas issues is to click on the "Help" link on the lower left corner of the screen in Canvas, and then choose "Report a Problem." For maximum effectiveness, please make sure you are at the place where you are having the problem before clicking on the Help link.

Email

Another way to get assistance is to email Kona (kona@richland.edu) and/or Liz (ejackson@richland.edu). If you're not sure who to email, the best bet is to include BOTH on the email. This will ensure the quickest and most helpful response.

Face-to-Face Assistance

While working through the training (or afterwards), if you need face-to-face assistance with understanding Canvas or implementing some of the training materials, Online Learning is here to help!! You can stop by to talk to Kona and/or Liz, or you can contact us to set-up an appointment!

Kona and Liz respond to all types of faculty help requests during the day, and by email and Canvas Help during the evenings, weekends, and holidays.
