Welcome to distance education at Cuesta College! This semester, the online version of LIBT 220 - Fundamentals of Cascading Style Sheets will be taught by Kevin Bontenbal and Del Chausse. This letter is to inform you of some important details prior to the commencement of this online class. Please read this letter carefully!

Important Note:

This course will be taught in Canvas. A few days prior to the beginning of class your instructor will send an e-mail to your myCuesta e-mail account with more information about how to access the class in Canvas.

Note: All students receive a myCuesta e-mail that can be accessed through the myCuesta Portal (my.cuesta.eduLinks to an external site.). If you do not want to use this e-mail you can login into myCuesta and set this e-mail to be forwarded to any e-mail of your choice.

CLASS REQUIREMENTS

  • The textbook we will be using for LIBT 220 (Fundamentals of Cascading Style Sheets) class is: Ian Pouncey and Richard York. Beginning CSS Cascading Style Sheets for Web Design 3nd Edition - ISBN: 978-0-470-99152-0
  • It is expected that students know the basics of HTML. This class will not cover HTML, therefore, a working knowledge of HTML is required.

COMPUTER REQUIREMENTS

Introduction to Distance Education

If this is the first online course that you have taken, and you feel that you may not have the necessary computer skills to succeed, you might consider taking DIST 101. DIST 101 is a half unit, 3-week course that will introduce you to some of the basic technologies that are used in online courses. Check class finder for DIST 101 to get the CRN and register now.
