Instructor Availability
I'm pretty much available 7 days a week, 12 hours a day. I am very flexible with students' schedules, so if you can't make a scheduled zoom office hour, just contact me, and we can immediately set something up. Here's where you can ask questions:
- Ask Questions Here!!! This forum that's embedded in our course goes out to our whole class. If you post a question or make a comment in this forum, we will all see it. This forum is very effective for not only asking questions that get answered by me and your peers (my responses will come within 5-8 hours) but also highly effective for answering questions that students might not have wanted to ask, but still needed to get answered.
- email: mfleming@cuesta.edu Text or Call (my phone number is offered in the course): If your question is personal or not something you think the class would benefit from hearing in the "Ask Questions Here forum," feel free to email, call, or text me.
- I will have office hours on Mondays from 10-12 and Sundays from 5-8, but really I am will be happy to meet with you any time, so just email or call me and we can set up a phone call or Zoom. I will also announce when I have hours on the SLO campus in-person and don't forget to drop by The Writers' Room every 1st and 3rd Monday from 2-4 p.m. on the SLO campus in room 3309 and every 1st Wednesday from 11-1 p.m. on the North County campus in N3114.
Response Timeline for Student Feedback
Most of our work in this course is submitted on a weekly basis having a due date of Monday mornings at 10:00 a.m. I will usually grade this work on Mondays or Tuesdays. For the larger Essay assignments, I may take a week or two to grade essays because they are labor intensive and I receive them from multiple courses. However, you will always receive your Essay grade and comments in time to apply the knowledge to the next essay.
