I started teaching architecture at Cuesta College in 1999. During my tenure, I founded Cuesta’s Department of Architecture and established course transfer articulation with Cal Poly. I enjoy teaching design, visual communication, building information modeling and design practice. Prior to teaching, I earned a Bachelor of Architecture degree  from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. My professional experience includes work with Jay Farbstein FAIA, PhD, IBI (formally BFGC), RRM Design group and Fz Design where I gained experience in public school, commercial and residential building design and project management. I'm passionate about creating public learning spaces and mentoring emerging architects to use design as a tool for public good. I also enjoy spending time with family, traveling, hiking, windsurfing and paddle boarding.
