Tips for Academic Wellness
Study Space
It is important to know in which type of environment you study best. Try studying in different places, like a library, cafe, or park. If you feel most comfortable studying at home, try out different spaces like the kitchen table, your desk, the living room floor, or the coffee table. It is known that the bedroom is not the best place to study but if it works the best for you then go for it!
Time Management
Be sure to make enough time to study and do homework. Making a to-do list of your assignments and allowing enough time to do them is key to academic wellness. This can often be a challenge for students between work, home life, and classes, but is essential for student success. Insert online too!
Organization
Being able to identify your tasks at hand is the first step to becoming organized. Next, make sure to list them in order from most important to least important. Then make sure to give yourself enough time to complete each task.
Academic Stressors
Once you have attended your classes for the first couple of weeks of the semester and you have your academic goals laid out, it is easier to identify stressors. Stressors often get in the way of academic wellness and should be addressed. You may want to reach out for help on eliminating stressors in your life if they are preventing you from reaching your goals. Check out the stress relief module for tips to ease...
