Students:

As most of you are undoubtedly aware, the COVID 19 pandemic has created issues worldwide. Cuesta College is no exception to that.

Automotive classes at Cuesta College have always been offered in the “face-to-face” mode. All of our instructors are learning to adapt and teach in this “distance education” modality. While some of our topics can be adapted to this mode, not all of them can be. For example, courses that require hands-on activity must still have a laboratory component.

While we are all learning to adapt, things change day by day, and sometimes hour by hour. There is no way to keep abreast of all of the recent changes. We are going to do our best to continue to adapt to these challenges as best we can.

For information about Cuesta College’s response to this crisis, please see the link to the Cuesta College web page below. In it, you will also find the latest “safe reopening plan Fall 2020” that details all of the processes and procedures that will occur in Fall of 2020.

For those of you that plan to attend campus for the laboratory component of your classes, please read the procedures that are outlined in the link above. For example, social distancing and face coverings are going to be required for all lab activities. Failure to comply will result in the student being removed from class.

It is your responsibility to make sure you are aware of all of the processes for both campus wide, and for each individual department.
