Course Policies

Participation

Online classes are available and make your education experience more convenient. However, this is not a self pace, learn on your own class. This is a 3 unit college level course which translate to roughly 10 - 12 hours a week in lecture and homework. I have structured weeks with material for you to read, watch and interact with. I expect you to log into class at least 3 days a week.

Please recognize that an online class does require just as much time as a traditional face to face course. It is very important that you keep up with the readings, assignments, quizzes, tests, discussions, etc.  Once you get behind it can be a challenge to catch up in this course. I do not accept any late assignments no exceptions.

Drop Policy

As stated in the Class Schedule: “Normal progress and successful completion of scholastic work depends upon regular attendance. You are ultimately responsible for dropping yourself, however, I will drop students for non-attendance.

DSPS Statement:
This course design is with an accessible Learning Management System. Course materials are prepared
with ADA compliance in mind. Any student who feels they may need an accommodation based on the
impact of a disability, such as extended time on exams, should contact me privately to discuss your
specific needs. Please contact Disabled Student Services & Programs at Building 3300 (546-3148) on
SLO Campus or on North Campus (591-6215) to coordinate reasonable accommodations for documented
disabilities. Doing so as soon as possible will help ensure accommodations in a timely manner.

If you have questions regarding the class, please feel free to contact me at the email
listed above and I will do my best to answer your questions or refer you to someone that
can answer your technology needs.
